I have been chasing down these great old whitewashed buildings for a number of years. This one was near dusk in the Autumn evening light.

What's a Wratten G, I looked up the Wratten filter codes and G wasn't listed. Nice image btw, the dark sky really works nicely the with the white church.

This is a dark orange square gel filter. I have had these since the 70s, they are probably older than that.
 
Man this is just cool. I like everything you did with this photo. I like the composition, I like the exposure and I like the printing.

Ditto! The low sun just makes it glow against the darkend sky.

I think this is one of those shots that I can almost feel the sun beating off the front of the building.
 
Wratten G Also Known As Wratten #15. Look in Graphic Graflex Photography by Morgan and Lester. Mine is the 9th edition from 1952 for a discussion on use of Kodak Wratten filters. By the way, nicely done print.
