Oooooh, of course!! The film Sunshine State centered on the Aftican-American community that made American Beach their vacation spot when segregation kept them from going anywhere else. I've got to visit. Have you done a series there, Scotty? Seems like a really good subject, but I've not been so I'm just guessing. This 'graph is really evocative in light of the context....love the life ring on the porch that really declares proximity to the ocean.
It's worth a visit if you pass by. There are some abandoned, some occupied and some rebuilding. Watch your step, there are also some nasty cacti hiding in the grass in a couple of places. I sometimes drop by on my way home but I have not concentrated on it since it is so close to home I can return any time.
