This abandoned small fishing boat was once a lifeboat on a large passenger ship of many years ago, It was purchased as salvage from a ship breakers yard in the 1940s.
My screen shows a nice brown effect. Is this my screen or an accurate reflection of the print? If so, how done, as your paper seems to be the normal fairly neutral MG. Maybe print dev?
As you will have gathered I like the effect of both brown and the white flora a la HIE. The setting is right for an abandoned boat. Removal of the fence might be the coup de grace but as Rob Archer found with his boat a couple of days ago in the gallery, background is often beyond the photog's control.
Pity this boat doesn't have the faded name of the original liner. That really would be something.
I'm sorry, I left out that the paper has been in a sepia solution.
I am new to toning and not certain of the results, I am sure if i attempted this again i would not have quite the same result, i am happy with it as it is though.
And, thanks for you'r helpful comments.
