Made a print of this on several types of paper I recently bought to compare and contrast... This "Kentmere Fineprint FBVC Warm" paper was one of the most interesting. A very creamy base and what Kentmere describe as a "Fine Grain Matt" surface which is, I guess, a semi-matt finish. An interesting option.
Works for me Bob. Look like it's been toned with tea let alone being on a cream base. The flower head looks a little small - it might've been of course - or was this camera angle. Off to do John Blakemores workshop at Inversnaid second week in June so I might come home with a tulip shot or two
Thanks for the comments chaps - it is an interesting paper... Have fun at Inversnaid Carl - looks like a somewhat unusual workshop (should be plenty of dead and decaying tulips by then too!..). Always meant to go to Inversnaid one day but booking holidays months in advance is not practical for me. -
Cheers, Don. This is flat on the ground with the 4x5 pointing downwards. Lit from above and left with a reflector bottom right to bounce the light back. A simple 100W spot lamp bounced off a silver brolly (hence the 5 minute exposure!). Bob.
