This a great picture and what superb printing!! I think that the trees on the right are essential to the composition but it is true that the poles are quite obstrusive... As for the poles, If i may suggest something, they could easily disappear with some black retouching ink and for the remaining wire you could make it merge with the back ground by diffusing it with a piece diffusing glass or filter . There is the possibility of ferry too but it is more tricky..
Hey thanks for the suggestions. In the meantime I tried to cut off the two trees and also to crop it to square format. No. That does not work for me. I think the two trees are essential and give the whole composition a kind of support on the right side, without the trees the composition is too open - it brings too much attention to the chapel, which is an important part of the image, but not the only one. Cropping to a square is something else. It gives another image and a lot of the dynamic in the composition goes away and this counteracts with the cloud. Also the light horizon line will get cropped. So this results in a very different image. Not bad, but I like the rectangle more. But anyway, it is better to try.
