A small chapel

Found in morning light while clouds started to show up in the background.

Forgot to pack filters, so giving more contrast to the sky had to be a darkroom action.

Beautiful print!

Beautiful setting and great darkroom effort from what seems a fairly tough negative. I hope you don't mind a suggestion/option (and with all due respect)...have you tried to change the aspect ratio to a square and eliminate the two trees and wires to the right?

Thanks for the kind comments so far. When I did the print and switched the lights on I was a bit shocked by the rough grain. But the longer I looked at it, the more I liked that grainy look.

No I have not. But will do and give it a try. It is easy to try such things with the scan. I thought that the two trees kind of supplement with the chapel and that small other tree and also give the image a natural 'frame' to the right. If I cut off that part I will also cut off part of the cloud which might be problematic. But to cut it to a square format from the left might be a good idea, I will definitely try that. Thanks Ruediger

This is really delightful! Whatever you did to the sky in printing was obviously right. The grain is wonderful and so totally not digital!

Yes, the chapel glows under the dark cloud. Nice print.

Hey thanks again for the kind comments.
