Very poetic! It reminds me of a shot by William Abranowicz in the greek island of Santorini where half of the picture is obscured by the run down wall of a building and the rest is divided by the sea and a sky with a single puffy cloud.

Very nice - it has a somewhat painterly quality to it. Normally I don't like that much grain in an image but it works here.

arigram, I google searched the photo you mentioned and I was amazed by it. Obviously it is uncomparably great photo and I have got a hint to print mine again, grainy and contrasty.

Right, that's the image. I have a book of his and its printed much softer, not so dark and contrasty.
Great minds think alike, eh? Even if they are in opposite ends of the world.
