Will, I could rave on about the composition - that works nicely - and the tonality - IMO is very good - but all I like to comment on is whether the print grabs me or not. This one does. Beautiful daughter and cute big dog. Thanks for sharing Will.
Very nice composition and, of course, the subject matter is dear. I would like to see a little more detail in the highlights of the girl's forehead. Well done.
Nicely done. Agree about the highlights in the girl's forehead. It might also work a bit better by cropping the top of the picture, to eliminate that white line coming into the dog's back. It would be a little less distracting, and help emphasize those two great faces!
Thanks for all of the nice comments! Good idea on cropping out the light reflecting off of the wall at the top, and I will burn in her face a little more when I print it on the Ilford warmtone. The detail in her hair didn't drydown as much on the RC as I think it does on the fiber, so I'll have to take notice of that. I'm thinking I might split-grade this too. I love taking pictures of my zone 10 dog with my zone 1 daughter...
If you do split grade it would be nice to see the two pics together. The dog is saying: "We're a partnership. She supplies the love, I supply the warmth and muscle"
