A Desecrated Place

A Desecrated Place

The title comes from the line in a poem by Wendell Berry, "there are no unsacred places. There are only sacred places and desecrated places."

When I first saw the contact print of this negative I thought it would not survive the refining process. The more I worked with it, the more it spoke to me. Now I need to know if it speaks to others as well. Thanks in advance for all comments.

Dan, I'm a little confused by the title. How is this place desecrated, and how does it show in the print?

Thanks for taking time to explain, Dan. You're good at these lith prints. The sheen from the wood is nice.
