I was invited to take some portraits of these children. Before we started the shooting I suddenly saw them sitting concentrated, studying a dead FLY on the plate. Grabbed the camera and got this photo
Hello,The story is true. But I will ad a little more. The photo was taken in an old summer house where there hadn't been people for a while, that's the reason for the fly on this wooden plate. The children were actually studying the fly. But of course, they where distracted by me finding my Hasselblad. Had to ask them to look again and to look a bit closer The photo was made for Christmas as a present for the children's father. Don't have any ordinary print, but my be I'll make one? And to StoneNYC, the photo is made on liquid emulsion on classic bw, thereafter bleached/tanned and the silver is replaced with lithographic ink. O
Thanks for the explanation, I'm not so familiar with older / alternative processes and anytime I hear a word like that I assume its a type of "film" like wet plate lol not the paper. Good to know, I'm sure there's lots I just never did any.
