A Cossack and his horse

Took my Rolleiflex to a medieval festival this past weekend. It was a great camera to make photographs with, but it was surprising even to me what a great ice-breaker it was.

TLRs do not get held in front of you face, as a rule. Unlike smaller formats and cell phones. It makes you much more approachable. And it is much easier to interact when you just have to lift your head. It even works for me
You're right about that, but the ironic part is my eyes just can't get a sharp focus from a waist-level finder -- I much prefer the prism finder!
