Think I like this one the best Eddie, good contrast and the gritty texture works well. Doesn't actually look overly grainy though especially considering 3200 film.

I too like this best, although as one with a longtime interest in things railroad, the two closeups of running gear are eyecatching also. I'm running an LCD monitor here at 1680 x 1050 and can't really say for sure that I'm actually seeing any grain. But that may be part of what gives this one in particular an appealing sense of rough and varied texture. So assuming I'm right -- sensing grain without really seeing it -- I'd say it works well.

i was not sure if this was working as i find the foreground handle a bit distractiong as it is not in focus. i should have paid better attention....but maybe i should not have worried about it.

i agree the grain does not seems so pronounced. i am finding that with smaller f stops and a bit more exposure the grain is a little less that say fro the batter compartment.
