Hi. I'm still very much a beginner, so I'm asking for my own learning curve: how did you manage to get your image over the film rebate/sprockets? Is it that the Holga normally covers 120 and the Holga pano back uses 35mm film? Cool image.

Cheers.

I can answer that question for you. When you wind film in the Holga, it doesn't rely on the sprocket holes to space the frames or to forward the film. The film slides across the insert exposed to light edge to edge. But it is a specific insert all the same.

You actually use a 120 take-up spool on the other end, and you tape the film leader to it. Then you count 36 'clicks' on the wind knob between frames. Pretty tight spacing to begin with, and then the blank space between shots gets longer and longer...

Fun stuff.

Tommy Norway, nice shot.

Thanks very much to both of you!

Thomas' description is completely correct. But I don't count 36 clicks between each frame - I'm just taking the knob on top of the camera about 1 1/2 round + a little bit more, for each panorama frame.
