Shot this beautiful model 6 months pregnant today, got a chance to use my 4x5 yay! I need a Loupe desperately, all 4 images were out of focus, thankfully only slightly so you can't quite tell unless blown up.
polyglot's idea for a makeshift loupe works really well. Another option is to Google-up '6x reading glasses'. These are inexpensive and intended for the clinically visually impaired. But they are also excellent for hands-free stereoscopic ground glass focusing. Hang them around your neck while you work and they are always available. Break or lose them and it's no big deal. I currently have three pair.
Thanks guys!I have a guy sending me an 8x Horseman Loupe, traded for some other equipment too, super excited to get it, so I'll be able to check exact focus and make sure the GG is correct then.I've thought of cropping the ceiling to make this square, but it's my first few LF images, I really want to scan it with the edge markings to show it's actually a 4x5 sheet, but I don't have ANR glass in 4x5 (yet), but the droop in the blind holder at the top really bugs me, so yes I've thought of cropping it.The light, I wish people would wash their windows more! LOL they are always dirty and pick up the strobe light coming in in a bad way, I could pull back but I don't often have enough packs to cover a full 2400ws burst to make sunlight from far enough away that it doesn't look like a strobe... someday when I'm rich and famous like Anne Leibovitz then I can do it haha.
