A 30 minute exposure taken as twilight started. By the time I closed the shutter it was completely dark and I was praying that I had calculated the correct exposure time and allowed enough for reciprocity failure.
@NedL Thank you. I have often wondered what that light is. There are other guidance lights off the coast that are attached to buoys and anchored, so they do move around. It is possibly one of those. It could well be a permanent lighthouse on the French coast but I think that might be too far away. I think the diameter of the light is too short for a boat over 30 minutes although, again, I can't be sure. Thank you for your comment.
@howardpan Yes - this was printed in the darkroom. It was taken almost 2 years ago and was very popular at the time. I did sell a limited edition run of these prints which was too short and I should have had more faith as I could easily have sold more. Perhaps it is time for a revisit.
@michaelorr Thank you. Yes it has been printed and I sold out of a limited edition run. The photograph was taken almost 2 years ago and was very popular then. I would love to visit New Jersey. "Old" Jersey is very small and can sometimes be restrictive given its size.
