St Johns Cathedral Brisbane, has only just had the scaffold taken down after a lengthy renovation.
Think this is my best picture so far with 4x5. Have a loupe now, that is very helpful, still need to mark a grid on the ground glass to keep everything straight.
Killer, awty. Subject matter, perspective, range, lovely shadow detail. Bravo!
'Spoke again w/ Jake at Bluemoon today. The resolve to avoid LF seems to be holding for now. You can show me how its done!
@OptiKen Thanks Ken got it at the right time of day. @HiHoSilver Ha Mr Silver, resistance will be futile, give in.
I thought the same till I saw a Technika selling locally for way too cheaply to resist. My scanner is out of its league with this format, but I would rather put money towards an enlarger than a better scanner.
A very nice image. Just a thought since I tend to favor tight compositions, I would be inclined to crop out the bright stone wall on the right. It will isolate and bring a more powerful view of the columns and not draw the eye from the columns. What do you think?
@jeffreyg Thanks for your comment Jeffrey. I did look at that, it actually changes the composition quite a bit. It is more light and airy with this view, with out the column on the right make the picture over all more colder/darker, but can work either way, always good to have an option.
