24x40 downtown Austin

(12x) 8x10 wet plate collodion images on aluminum. Resulting in a 24x40 sized image.

I intended on only doing a 20x24... but just kept going throughout the day.

Couldn't figure out why I liked this 24x40 ratio and resulting image... and then I realized it's basically just a gargantuan 12x20.
Location
Austin, TX
Equipment Used
8x10 & a 19" RD artar
Exposure
between 8-12secs for each plate at F32
Working in the shadow of Muybridge! Great project and results!

The history is a little off in the above link -- it is the only reference I have read of multiple cameras being used for this project. Not likely. Though it would be quite the sight to see 13 mammoth plate cameras on a rooftop!

Thanks all, appreciate the kind words...
For a frame of reference, the top right plate was shot at 9am (camera was being stared right in the eye by the sun) and the bottom left plate was shot at 2pm-ish, outta the wash around 240pm. I even had a 15min visit from a Texas State Trooper between plates 9 and 10, because apparently my 8x10 camera up atop a parking garage caught the eye of a surveillance camera from a couple blocks away.
It felt a little too Orwellian for my tastes, but the trooper was quite nice and I have no outstanding warrants.

phew.

Spectacular!
