1st glass wet plate!

holy sh!t i did it!

my 1st ever lass negative. i kind of broke most of the "rules". i am using my "positive" collodion, developer and fix! i subbed the edge of the plate with my albumen mix. developed for 10 sec.

i took the neg outside and shot it with my digital camera (still wet!) and then inverted it in PS....nothing fancy! i am too excited to wait any longer!

note that i splashed a bit of water on the plate in the drying rack before i poured the collodion. i have a few issues but i got something anyway!

man, this is great!

please note i updated the neg scan with a scan of my print (refresh your page)
