Resto finished, save for some toe clips I neither need nor want yet. Stock, except the Conti Sprinters, fizik bar tape, and the swapped-out Felt saddle. Still have the stock Ariake Jaguar II saddle, but felt like an upgrade was warranted. Shot on 4x5 Arista.EDU with an ICA Niklas petzval.
Lovely looking machine. If it is for track racing then I'd have thought that toe-clips were essential and if for road work such as short time trials or just fun riding then isn't at least a front brake required for fixed wheel? Certainly it is in the U.K. With the right gearing and a relatively flat terrain multi-cog derailleur machines are often over-rated. I used fixed for years and once you got used to constant spinning in a relatively low gear it was a joy to ride.Great colour. Is this a B&W print sepia toned? Thanks
I have some Shimano toe-clips and some toe-clip add-ons.......I believe them to be of the 105 variety. Trade 5x7 glass? I acquired them in a build of my own, a 1984 Ciocc Designer 84' with Columbus SLX, doing a complete period-correct Shimano 600 build on it with Mavic wheels but I use the Look-style cleats with all of my bikes and these toe-clips will be of no use. I also have a 1986 Tommaso SLX with full Shimano Ultegra 6600/6700 build and a Dura-ace 23-11 10-speed (couldn't get that gear combo in Ultegra or lower) carbon paddle shifters, I did a Kodachrome of it and it's in my gallery. Lovely little bike, but I miss my Ciocc frame and decided to piece it back together.
Thanks, folks. PU, it's for the track, but I can't get on the track until after an introductory session, and the next one (barring 6-week lessons) is in August. So, until then, I'll be riding this on rollers, and it's been long enough that I don't want the clips on the rollers yet. And this is a negative scan, scanned as full color. EpsonScan does that to the image sometimes.J-dogg, I appreciate the offer, but I've got clips on order already. eBay's my friend. Scott
