That was taken hand held in available light on 400TX with my Perkeo II and the shot still boggles my mind every time I look at it.

Thank you very much for your kind words on the old photographs my father-in-law captured decades ago. I recovered the negatives, scanned and posted them here on APUG galleries. Those photographs were (probably) taken with a Perkeo I and the Vaskar lens. We all wondered about the imaging quality. -- Your photograph of the 1932 Duesenberg is excellent - great sharpness and lots of details. You demonstrate how great those vintage folders work until today. Thank you for sharing ! Now, I'll spend some time browsing your personal gallery - it's a great pleasure to look at all those beautiful photographs !

DWT, it is a curious thing how topics come up and coincide at times. Last night at dinner with friends a story of a dus in an old movie (sunset blvd i think william holden gloria swanson) came up . i bemoaned the fact that in the numerous years i was in Ft Wayne working, on two-week long visits, i never did venture up to the ACD museum. Always wanted to, never did it. So the first dus i ever saw was just several years ago at the auto museum in Hershey, PA. They are beautiful machines. And the image quality of this photograph is admirable. Again, maybe why voigt lenses are coveted by many (i'm sure it is not because they are good "not zeiss" lenses!) I have been returning to your gallery often, since i re-signed up in apug a few months back. They inspire me and challenge me and are just plain beautiful to stare at apart from the photographic weeds appreciation interest. I am eatin' up this apug stuff, amazing photos and information.

This is enough to give me gas for old glass. This is superb. You sure get deeper blacks from Dil. H than I have. I'm off to your gallery to look for more chrome on old glass. It was a lovely trip. You do wonderful things w/ that Perkeo. Hat's off.
