This well preserved Parker Truss over Bird Creek in Northern Tulsa County, Oklahoma has a build date of 1912 as shown on the builders plates still attached to the entrance portals. Still in very good condition, this bridge was at some point updated from a wooden deck, to a steel grate deck, which need much less annual repair. Notice that the piers are the early type steel or iron cylinders filled with rock and concrete. This type of pier is common to bridges built before 1920. This is a single lane bridge. The guard rails have been updated to the modern style.
