15th & Locust St. #2

I have slowly started photographing the city of Philadelphia where I have lived for last 11 years.

I have been getting access to people's apartment and houses to photograph the views from their space. These views are not necessarily familiar to those who live and work here even though what is in the photographs are rather familiar.

It is still an early stage to figure out where it is heading, but I thought there is something to these views.

These are still proofs on RC paper right now. I am hoping to make gum over pt once the selections are made.

Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Warmly,
Tsuyoshi

Hi,
What is a banquet camera?
You do not give film/processing details but this is insignificant (oh,oh).
I like the idea you have here. This image is not a new approach but some of the others are quite refreshing. I think that this kind of project requires a lot of images and a selection process to establish your personal identity. You have something here so please keep posting.

John

I suspect these were taken with Shinnya's 7x17 Korona.

So I've solved the problem of keeping this camera stable in the vertical orientation by adding a second tripod socket and a RRS QR plate for flatbed cameras. Otherwise, I found that it started rotating forward on the tripod head. What was your solution to this problem, or was it not a problem for you?

I've seen pictures of the Lotus bracket, which looks like a better option for larger cameras. The 7x17" Korona isn't too heavy, so my solution is more compact and so far seems stable.

P.S.--The second tripod socket was made by our own Barry J. Young for a very reasonable price.
