11x14 Oakwood Ambrotypes

Mr Clay Harmon generously loaned me an 11x14 wet plate camera and a HUGE Dallmeyer 5A lens.

been trying to put it through it's paces.
and I'm loving it.

NIce pictures. If I ever write a gothic horror I know who I'll call for the cover shoot. Only thing is that the letters at the base are backwards, not being at all familiar with this type of photography, I have to ask if that's normal, supposed to be there, kind of stuff?

What a wonderful way to use the limited depth of field! And I love how you used the entire sweet spot to fill the frame better than most wet plates I see out there. Perfect!

Raul, the letters are backwards as everything shot is reversed, inherent of the process.
