1000 Ft. Down

When was this taken? Not too many underground photos around. I'd like to see more. The mines I worked in didn't like cameras underground. Was he bolting the back or drilling the next round ? That looks like a nice dry mine and he looks pretty clean ... must have been just starting the shift?

This was taken last year in the Mollie Kathleen gold mine. The subject, while a working miner in the winter months, gives guided tours during the summer. He was kind enough to pose for me near the end of the tour.
