I have the aforementioned meter, and generally only use it as a flash meter.

I have long lost the instruction manual that came with it. I have always operated under the assumption that as a flash meter, it is only an incident light meter. In other words, it is not possible to point it at a subject and use as a reflected light meter in flash mode. Is anyone out there familiar enough with this meter to tell me if I am correct or not? Of course, I would love to get my hands on a copy of the instructions, but I realize that is a long shot.

I've been reading a book on fashion photography, and they talk about using a flash meter as a reflected light meter to measure different light values from the subject being photographed. I'm assuming I would have to buy something more upscale to be able to do this, but I thought I would run this by you all first. I did try to take a reflected reading in flash mode this afternoon, by switching it to flash and sliding away the diffuser globe thingy, but I got no reading.
