Folks,

I have been wanting to return to my roots in film photography and shoot some chrome, but last year when I went looking for a E6 lab, there were few and far between. I thought about processing it myself, which I have done in my youth, but... it is a lot of work to do by hand. Low and behold, a dear friend of mine had a JOBO ALT-1500 in his storage unit (I think it came from his brother that passed a few years ago) and he offered it to me for free:smile: What an answer to prayer, a prayer I didn't even know I was asking! I get to put that Nikon F5 back in service!

So the only issue I have now is this: I am not going to be shooting enough to justify the cost of chemicals, on my own. Any suggestions on how I go about finding some other E6 shoots in my community that would be willing to help with using up the chemical before they go bad, and maybe even a bit of the cost of the chemicals? I would be happy to cover the cost of water and electricity

Oh, what is my community? I am in the northers suburbs of Cincinnati.

I wish I had an ATL-1500! I have a CPE2+ with lift and I just wait until I have shot enough to start an E6 processing session and try to process the 12 rolls for 1L per Tetenal Kit within 2 weeks. Next I may try using Protectan neutral gas to keep the mixed up solutions and wait up to 8 weeks between 2 sessions of processing 6 rolls.
I also happen to be part of a photo club where sometimes I find a couple of other members who want to try out E6.
