Newport Photography Workshops (NPW) - update

We're well on our way! Kurt Norlin gave a most excellent Pinhole Photography class in July. He'll be teaching what I'm sure will be a most excellent Toy Camera class in October (I'm taking it). Just got back this morning from the Carbon Printing Workshop I gave in the Newport Visual Art Center. It ended up being a great facility...kudos for Denise for getting the darkroom up and running and in such great shape!

I really enjoyed giving the workshop -- great participants and Denise was a very able assistant. I feel that the participants (and Denise) walked away with a good solid foundation in carbon printing...and even with some good prints.

The weather was changable, but that made the view from the classroom even more spectacular. The Visual Art Center is a great facility for both darkroom and for non-darkroom workshops.
