The Cure for Our Strange Links

#1
Good morning, APUG of the PNWRG (and Robert Brummitt);

In the continuing saga of why some of our Group Discussion Messages take us to places like Montreal, Quebec Province, Canada, El Supremo Sean has taken on this curiosity "as a project."

It will be interesting to see what digital anomaly takes us to these far off and exotic places.

Enjoy;

Good morning, Robert;

Me thinks it is NOT just you. Vaughn's most recently posted message regarding his 10,000 mile drive also takes us to Montreal, Quebec Province, Canada. It is time to speak with Sean again.

Odd, I did not even go into Canada (did not have the legal documentation).

For the record, I do not have any problems with the group messages taking me anywhere but the Northwest.

Good morning, Vaughn;

Interesting that you did not experience any difficulty. There were at least three messages here that I found had problems; two from Robert and one from you. Don12x20 also had problems with them, as indicated by his "Robert - invalid link was posted....try again" message. If we look also at the number of people who responded to Don's message, I think there were more people than just Don and me who had this problem.

In any case, the problem seems to have been cured.

The only suggestion I can offer is that Sean may have been able to make the needed correction to the system soon after you posted your Carbon Printing Workshop message. I admit that I did tell Sean about your message also producing the same problem, both here on APUG and in a message sent directly to him.

10,000 miles in a van with three 12 year old boys? And all of you survived? Vaughn, I thought you had only two boys. Now, three of them, all 12 years old? Triplets?

Enjoy;

Hello Ralph! Yes triplets. My wife flew home from Dallas,TX on August 1st -- she had to be back at work, and she had some frequent flyer miles she could use...at least that was the excuse she gave!LOL! It allowed us to be on the East Coast a bit longer. Since we live in a country area (275mi north of San Francisco), we thought the boys should get a good dose of the big cities...we toured Boston, New York and DC. From Dallas, the boysand I headed to Carlsbad Caverns, then White Sands...then we shot across NM and AZ and spent a week in San Clemente at my parents -- spending most of that week body surfing, etc at the beach. We seemed to hit many thunderstoems on our trip -- it seemed everytime we set up the tents, the sky would start to light up and the rain would pour down!

One bit of excitement -- my brother sent my 3 boys into my parent's attic to look for dead rats. Calder stepped off the rafters and crashed through the ceiling, landing on his back on the bathroom floor -- right in front of my mom (87 yrs old) who was on the toilet...scared the crap out of her! A trip to ER showed no breaks on the x-rays and Cat-scan, and he was back in the waves a couple days later.

Good morning, Vaughn;

Congratulations, sir. Debby says that your boys are a rare occurance. Perhaps some time you will be able to describe what it is like in a household with three pre-teen boys. My imagination is not sure which way to go with that idea.

Regarding Calder's unfortunate mis-step in the attic resulting in his falling through the sheetrock onto the bathroom floor, with the not surprising consequential effect on your mother; at least she was in the best possible place for that effect.

Monozygotic triplets(identical)? Or Trizygotic(fraternal)? Or 2-1? The latter two are becoming more common with fertility drugs. Identical triplets are very rare.

Calder is fortunate to have no damage -- and so is your mother. Another step and he could have landed on her.

Hey Don, His head was within an inch of hitting the counter top. His feet did whack my mom on the hand and a knee -- she shook off the brusing and torn skin like it was nothing...tough gal. We were just plain lucky, but Calder still is sore...might need some chiropractic help.

The boys are fraternal. Three very different body-styles, three very different personalities, and three unique imaginative sources of ideas and ways to raise a bit of mischief! Keeps us on our toes...such as the time when all three decided to paint a mural on the living room wall (wife was at work). Calder's diaper was the source of the "paint". I heard their giggles and was hit by a wall of smell as I walked into the room. Dang it anyway -- I was too busy tossing them into the tub and scrubbing walls before the wife returned home to remember to take any photos!

Oh gosh! I so happy that your son is OK! Kids can age a parent faster then anything. Great story about the Grand Mother though.
