Some advice please

the equipment:

1 starblitz250
1 Yashica mat

the problem- non image or very thin negs only on the widest aperatures....its definitely hardware or something I'm doing viz hardware...not development/film processing

Its not the flash because have had acceptable result using Nikon FE

I did however forget to switch the camera to X-synch- could this be it?

would appreciate any feedback

Thanks

I will pretty much guarantee you that you will not get much of an image with an electronic flash on your Yashicamat if you have it set on "M". "M" is for flash bulbs. I have a Yashicamat from the 1960s that was used by a large international photo news service and they had a camera tech drill a hole and put in a small screw so the lever could not go off "X" unless you took the screw out and flipped it over. Almost nobody with the firm used flashbulbs by that time. The Yashicamat is a great camera. I have two of them.
