The Olympus OM cult

Power Winders

#1
I recently bought an OM40 fitted with a 'power winder' from Jessops. A few weeks later I bought a mint OM1 MD which has the facility to take a power winder/motor drive. My question is; will the 'Jessops Power Winder' work on the OM1? The reason for asking is because the OM1 has a little cover over the mechanism on the base plate that doesn't look the same as the mechanism on the OM40 and I don't want to ruin a perfectly good OM1 for the sake of putting an unsuitable winder on it, which I'll probably use very little if at all....just curious!

It should work. I don't have the Jessops Power Winder, but do have the Olympus Winder 1, 2 and motor drive and they work interchangeably with all the single digit OM MD camera bodies(obviously not the OM 1 without MD.). I have an OMPC which is the same as the OM40 and it takes all three winders/drives. You should not have a problem.

Thanks so much, that has reassured me, but I don't think I'll really use the power winder on either camera, but I know for future ref.

Oooops, I've just acquired an OM1 MD, but yesterday mislaid the little cover for the motor drive coupling. Careless of me, but any ideas where I could purchase this little item?
