Dried level bubbles

Just found on eBay the following item: "Most Sinar users are depressed by the dried*level bubbles, it is very hard (over one month order period)*and expensive (over USD50 for one bubble)*to order original accessories from Sinar agent. Here for sale is OEM level bubbles for Sinar P2/P/X/F2/F1 cameras, which are sold only*at*USD49.95 for THREE bubbles."
Dried level bubbels are very easy to repair. Loosen the level bubble, drill a 1mm hole at the end of it (you will easily detect in which end of the bubble you should drill the hole), press in the right amount of water (or whisky, 12 or 18 years doesn't make much difference!) such that the bubble size will get the right size. Put some glue at the end of the drilled hole, let it dry. If the bubble is dried out one more time after some years, take a 1 mm drill and ...

Thank you for the information. I admit that a couple of my SINAR standards do suffer from the "excessively large bubble" syndrome in their levels. With your suggestion and the use of a hypodermic needle and a syringe, it should be possible to meter in just the right amount of fluid to regain the size bubble preferred. Thank you.

yes when levels start to dry the syndrome "excessively large bubble" is there.
