Silver Gelatin Emulsion Makers

Hello, is there still anyone in here ?

#1
Hello,

I had this idea of home made emulsion making in the back of my mind probably for years and i don't know exactly why it started to become more serious some weeks ago. I knew Denise's Light Farm but I seriously got back to it and read most articles comprehensively... then I found the silver emulsion forum here and read some more invaluable amount of informations... then it was time to start for real !... and I did...
Now, I've made about ten batches of emulsion for paper negatives and I get some pretty consistent results shooting at 8 ISO with Denise's AmBr emulsion with sulfur (hypo) finish. I mostly shoot 4x5" and 5x7" (and made a very nice try with 120 medium format on paper).
I'm now starting to work on warm tone enlarging paper. My aim is to make lith prints. First tries are pretty encouraging and I must admit I think I'm hooked !

When I found this group, I didn't understand its utility apart from the forum... then I read here and there, and I think I've understood...
Anyway, I will probably post technical questions on the forum and we'll see how it turns...

I hope my english is not too bad because I'm writing from the south of France and it's not my native language...

I don't think I understand how the groups are different from the subject topics in the forums, but I definitely read every post in this group with great interest!
( I've never made an emulsion, but am very interested )

Looking forward to hearing about your progress!

Well, I thought it was difficult before I try... and was surprised to get a decent image so easily...
I'm not looking after perfection because lith printing is quite unpredictable but I'll try to tweak my emulsion formula to get the rendering I'm looking for.
