I am seeing a lot of discussion about whether digital photography is of the same nature as photo-sensitive chemical photography, the loos of the art of photography, the problems with AI and post processing digitally (or in the darkroom), etc.
Rather than try and answer these big questions, I am proposing to create a set of standards and tags that can be used by people creating images to help define what they did (in a general way) and to communicate to others what they did. I use food labeling as an example (does this contain GMOs? How much sugar?).
The use of the standards would be voluntary, but if it catches on, it could become expected.
I am not sure where this will lead, but let's start the journey and find out. If you know of existing standards, their review could be useful.
