Lens board plate opening size?

Hello, I’m restoring a couple beseler 45 series enlargers. One is in better shape than the other so I’m sort of picking and choosing parts. I’m wondering if the lens board opening has any impact on enlargement being that one is smaller than the other. The smaller one (blue on the right in the photo) has a slide-in filter drawer. Is there any advantage to having the larger opening? I prefer having the filter drawer for convenience but wouldn’t want to run into problems later and wish I’d kept the other plate.
