Yashica 50mm f1.9 DBS lens now faulty--

I got out my ' Saved From The Dump' Yashica FR-1 and was exercising shutter when i noticed the 50mm f1.9 Yashica DSB lens no longer 'stops down'. I tried moving levers at back but no luck. The 50mm f1.4 Carl Zeiss Planar T* off Contax RTS II Quartz worked OK though.

Hi - a classic combination the FR-1 and DSB 50 1.9. When you say that your tried moving the actuator at the rear of the lens 'with no luck' - does 'no luck' refer to being unable to move the lever or that moving it had no effect?.

Moving it had no effect -- lens would still not 'Stop Down'
