Zorki CLA in the UK

[Snafu]

My Zorki 4 is in need of a CLA. I'm aware that this is probably going to cost more than it would cost to replace the camera, but it's been with me for a while and I'd like to keep it.

Can anyone suggest a good UK based repairer to carry out the work?

I think you are correct that it would cost more than a replacement camera, but you could try www.skears-photographic.co.uk/frames.html for a quote. I used them a few years ago and found them to be fine, but don't know if they have moved on to more modern equipment now. Good luck.

He's not in the UK, but you might want to check Oleg Khalyavin. He's a Russian who specializes in repair of Russian 35mm cameras. I've never used his services, but he's highly recommended on the Yahoo Zenit Camera Group. His prices are low by Western standards, but you'll pay more for shipping and the shipping will take a while.
