I have acquired, from a retired camera dealer, a number of genuine used/old stock 39mm filters . He has agreed that I should sell them to raise funds for the local food bank.

These are real Leica brand filters -- marked either NY or made in Germany or both. Many are in original box and plastic case. While either shopworn or used, they are all (except one faded one, noted) in like-new condition. No scratches, haze, cracks, dents or bad karma.

They are the precise filters you need to get best performance from your vintage Elmar, Summicron and Summaron lenses, even the 21mm F4 Super Angulon, and maintain that "Everything is Leica" look.

Have you seen what these sell for new? About $140, each, which is nuts. Fortunately for you, I'm even willing to undercut the going eBay prices.

IMPORTANT!!:

ALL money you pay for the filter/s goes to the Catholic Community Services food bank serving Ogden and Northern Utah. I pay the shipping (in the US only) out of my own pocket. The postage is my part of the fund raising. Everything you send ... every penny ... goes to the food bank. If you have any doubts look up the director's phone independently (search for Catholic Community Services, Ogden) and ask her if Charlie Trentelman (me) is real and making donations to the bank. She will remember I and my friend did this same thing with photo gear a couple years ago. My wife volunteers there.

Thousands of people depend on the food bank all year, not just at the holidays. This is your chance to help and get some cool filters at the same time. They make GREAT stocking stuffers, too!

How much? $25 for each filter. Buy 3 and you can take them all for $65. That's postage paid anywhere the US Postal Service delivers.

(Some guy in Pennsylvania jumped on this at 3 a.m. and bought nine. Here' s what's left)

-- one chrome mount Orange

-- Two 39 mm Leitz type A filters in chrome rim

-- One Leitz 39mm FP filter

-- one Leitz 39mm marked PF-light blue.

ALSO--a few oddballs:

-- One Leitz dark red- marked "Rm", really dark, possibly for shooting infrared film -- in the astonishingly rare Summitar lens mount.

-- One Leitz E43—orange, in chrome.

My Paypal address is summicron12000@yahoo.com. If you could add a cupla bucks to pay the paypal fees it would be nice but I won't insist. If you live in Northern Utah I'm happy to make arrangements for delivery.

OK, updated to what's left.

I also have some larger filters in the SLR-size range, and a lot of 39mm filters that are non-Leitz branded I will put up later.

thanks
