I run a high school photo program outside of Boston and last year we received numerous amazing donations of film from members here.
This year we had record sign ups and participation is just really happening at the school, it’s great.
My reserve of cameras is looking thin and I’m in search of some low cost K1000’s (that’s what we primarily use) but in reality I’d take any working 35mm.
Casting a wide net, please ask friends. It’s just for the kids, they appreciate it. Analog is alive!
I think i may have sent you a Canon A-Series last year, or it might have been another teacher.
Anyway....... if you do not mind me asking.
Does the school also teach "Modern Photography".? That is to say, for students using a Digital SLR.?
I have two K1000’s and a couple lenses I can send you. They were part of an estate that I acquired, so I don’t know their history. I’ve exposed a roll of film in one them, everything works. The other one seems to be functioning, though I haven’t exposed any film with it.
If you’d like them, I’ll get it all boxed up and send them out. Is your address still the same?

Must have been a different school, I’ve only received film donations in the past.
We are actually 99% wet based. I give my advanced students the option to use the medium of their choose and a vast majority remain in the analog side of things... we have a few beater Mf’s and a 4x5.
Last year at times I let one of my more advanced students shoot my personal 8x10 but that made me nervous!
