First you need plate holders and then film inserts, secondly you need to know what edge fittings the 9x12 Welta uses. i have a large selection of 9x12 plate holders but there's so many variations.

Ian,
I do know that my Ica and Zeiss hollders do not fit---they are too thick. I have three Welta holders which slide in very nicely, but they don't seem to slide all the way to the bottom of the camera. The flocking on the camera and on the holders do line up with each other, but it looks to me as though these holders may leak light. I am waiting for a new batch of film before I can test them, but if you have suggestions on how to choose correct holders, please do let me know. Thanks.

Updating an old post, because I'm still looking for more holders. The plate holders I am searching for ar approximately 10x140 cm in size. They have a thin single flange on the long lateral sides, and none on the bottom of the holder. I suspect they are a fairly common type, but I don't know which other camera models used them. My camera is a 9x12 Welta Watson (or its unnamed doppelganer).

I sold my spare Plate holders that fit my Rodenstock 9x12 camera actually a slightly customised Welta too a member here 2 orr 3 years ago who came to visit and see what holders I had that might fit.

I did post the details here ten years ago :D I have some Zeiss holder and some from companies that became ICA but I'm abroad at the moment but can check Tuesday/Wednesday what I have. Should still have some Huttig plate holders they made the original Ideal which was then sold as the ICA Ideal and finally the Zeiss Ikon Ideal.

Make a temporary focus back from the Film pack holder, backs do turn up but you might have a few months or more wait.

Dan I have 3 Rodenstock 9x12 holders, but they have a flange on the bottom. Overall length of the body (not including dark slide) is 150mm.

My 140mm long holders w/o bottom flange were bought through ebay not long ago from a seller in Poland (look for 9x12 holders on ebay, he has a bunch more)
