This morning a light went off in one of my failing memory banks, that I had a couple of old process lenses. I am looking for a longer focal length lens for my 8x10 and wondered if anyone has any experience with this lens?

It is in quite good condition, and the iris control is very smooth and f10 is wide open and it stops down to f128. Hmm I could use this as hefty pin hole lens

Hopefully I will be able to run a test this weekend.

Mike,
The Wray will be better than your Ilex Paragon. I have the latter and it's a little soft for a process lens. The Wray probably has about 15 iris blades and gives a round hole all the way down to f 128, and you could probably use it on your Tachihara even at that radical f stop without visible image deterioration on an 8x10 contact print.
