Thinking of using WordPress for an occasional
..but not scheduled...document with words and photos...no commercial intent..

Can you share examples/outtakes? Your thoughts?

I used to like to read WordPress, but I have had trouble getting issues consistently. Evidently the Los Angeles metropolitan area is not a large enough market for them, so I stopped bothering to look for WordPress and read other publications. YMMV

I use Wordpress for a lake association website I build and I maintain. Maintaining the website content is not something I like to do, so I want it to be as painless as possible.

I think it's all about the Wordpress theme you decide to use. Some are free; others you pay for. Some themes are better for blogging sites; other themes for a more traditional website. If you find a website that you think you like, there are websites that will tell you whether it uses a Wordpress theme and, if so, what theme it uses.

I use a hosting service. I get regular Wordpress updates and have never had an issue.

I did not like the interface for WordPress when I used it. I don't know if there is anything any easier, but it was difficult to navigate for setting up pages.
