I'm in Minneapolis, but grew up in Wisconsin Rapids and went to college in Appleton. I've lived in MN for the last ten years, but I'm still a WI guy through and through.

Max,

Did you find a good fish fry place in MN? Those friday nights are nothing w/o fish fries.

So I'm kinda strapped through the end of the month, but first weekend in November looks good to me, too! Maybe we could go to that herb farm you had suggested earlier this fall, Mike? Or maybe somewhere else? Anything going on that weekend?

Well, the 30th is out for me because of the Bob Dylan concert at Carthage College(I am so pshyced for that). That is one of the very few things I would place over going out and photographing. I hope he does "Just Like a Woman" So the next Saturday (Nov. 6th) sounds like a date. Lets plan on it. Jeanette....I don't know how the perinial farm will look in november? I say let's all go to Grace's house! She wouldn't mind. For some reason I'd like to go to Milwaukee and I don't know what it is but I believe it would be fruitful. Thoughts, comments?????

"God said to Abraham kill me a son
Abe said man you must be puttin me on
God said no and Abe said, What?
God said you can do anything you want Abe
..but ah next time you see Me coming you better run!"
Abe said where you want this killing done and God said out on Highway 61!"

Oh, hello again, sorry I was singing. Well this could be cool ya'll. Let;s try for an APUG record of member photographers converging on one place at the same time. Why don't we all set Nov. 6th on our calenders and we can decide where to go later on. If we have some Madison folks Milwaukee makes sense so we don't have allot of people driving more than they need to. We need to hear from Grace on this and I will yield to her final decision as she is the one who started this regional group. She most likley won't see this till Monday but Nov. 6th is etched in stone okay???????

Mike,

November 6th is great! Very funny comment about coming to my house, Ha ha ha (sarcasticly laughing). Milwaukee does make the most sense especially if we have people from Madison and all.

As far as the place goes, the Milwaukee Art Museum this time. Next time we could post and let everyone suggest or vote on it. I don't want to do that this time though because the outing is close to happening.

For those of you out there that are like me and going, "What in the world am I going to shoot at the Art Museum?" Just keep your pants on and your eyes peeled when you come. I've chocked it up to "Just have to think creatively" and "Well I can always learn something." Or just come to meet other APUG people.
If you are a people person (like me), there may or may not be friends with Mike or I that day that wouldn't mind posing as models. Feel free to bring anyone you can convince to go that day and feel free to stay as long or as short a time as necessary for you to get some images.

Here's the link to the Art Museum http://www.mam.org/. Check it out.

Funny, Just the other week one of my friends who is down in Milwaukee for Grad school said to me. "You should come down to my place in Milwaukee to shoot some stuff. There is is this art museum with really weird architecture. You can use your big landscape camera."

I was talking to Grace and as a backup plan in the event of bad weather we could go to the domes and spend some time. They consist of three huge, glass geodesic domes and each one is it's own unique climate zone...desert, rain forest and normal (for us midwesterners). A very neat pace indeed. And every time I go there it makes me think of Buckminster Fuller as well.

Time and place

For this time, we will be meeting in the parking lot of the Milwaukee Art Museum. Time? I think that it will need to be around 10 or 11 a.m. How does that sound? I'm not too firm about that time so let me know what you think.

Yes, Jeanette, why don't we say the parking lot to the north and let's meet at 10:00 if that's okay with everyone.

I'd like to attend, but I don't know if I'll be able. I'm not able to think about anything after Nov 2 at this point other than continuously checking the polls on the web... If Bush wins I'll be trying to move to Canada or maybe Ireland where my wife has dual-citizenship). If not, I'll try and be there.

Best,

William
