I'm trying to lighten my current tripod for some longer backpacking trips where every gram/ounce counts.

My current setup:
Gitzo 1227 + Gitzo 1270M

I'm thinking about using Markins base instead fo center column and RRS BH-25 PF for head.

I'll only use it with Bronica SQ-B, so I won't be turning camera to the side (and moving it off-center). I'll always use MLU and cord release and my longest/heaviest lens will be 180mm. Should I worry about stability with this setup or will it be ok (mostly for enlargements up to 30x30cm / 12x12 inches)?
