'Haven't seen the good Blansky. I hope its 'cause he's away having disreputable amounts of fun. 'Sure appreciate his sense of composition/aesthetics.

He is like the wind in the darkness. Sometimes we can only sense but not see his power and his presence. And we tremble still.

He is that He is...

(Then the next morning we gaze out into the light... and the front yard is a disaster. Downed branches and trees everywhere.)

If I had to guess, Blansky being a portrait photographer, it's probably been a busy season for him. My portrait friends have been working non-stop since early November.

I am not losing sleep over this. Blansky will show up when he shows up and not before. If this is your biggest problem in life, then you have nothing to worry about.

He is at the mall, lining up for Boxing Day bargains.

It is a heritage sort of thing.

Oh, like Canadians [Canadiens] flocking to Canadian Tire on Saturdays whether or not they need tires. Got it, but I never understood it.

That's okay, I've never understood why "Americans" would want to buy food from a "Piggly Wiggly".

The Piggly Wiggly chain were the very first modern super-markets starting in 1916. Stores were laid out with today's familiar aisles. Shoppers progressed down the aisles coming to the checkout.

But if it was up to you, would you leave the name unchanged?:munch:

Who knows the origin of the name. Why is Brer Rabbit Molasses called Brer Rabbit when it has nothing to do with rabbits.

Once a chain is established it would be very hard to change its name. They do sell pork.

Yeah... reminds me of my first dog. He was a great dog but had an attitude. He'd jump the fence and be gone for days then come home battered so required a lot of money on vet bills. The little bastage was a PITA but he was lovable anyway.

I'm sure he will be amused by this thread and the things we say about him.

He is missed. I've always posted here after his posts or in his threads with great trepidation, expecting some sort of erudite or humorous riposte to my comment. His posts are quite well done.
