What sort of film does a Bronica S2A take?

Hi yall,

I've got a Bronica S2A I want to sell, it was my dad's and it's been sitting in it's own padded suitcase with some lenses and other stuff for about 25 years. So I need to see if it works, do they take the same old film that we all used to use before digital cameras?

I'm in Sydney Australia so I need to know where to get it.

120 film format. Readily available from places like Vanbar, or off the bay.

It takes 120 roll film. You will find it easiest by contacting Les Porter Photography (Central Coast) or Vanbar (Camperdown) through their websites. You can also find it on EBay from local seller Cheap Shots.
I've bought from all three and they all give good fast mail order service.

Would either of you recommend anywhere in Sydney to get the photos developed? Cheapest being the priority.

You better read the owners manual if you have one. If you don't have one, find or download one and read it.

If you decide to sell it be careful to determine precisely what you have. For instance, there was a variety of lenses available some of which are worth more than others.

Oh... and yes, still common 120 roll film.

I would like to point out that "Bronica" is a Japanese contraction for "brownie camera", so-named specifically because it used "brownie film" which is of course 120 film.

Yeah I do want to sell it, maybe. And yeah I don't know anything about photography, and I don't care. It seems quite mathematical and confusing to me and there seems to be a lot of jargon. To be bothered spending a long time learning about it for the sake of a few hundred dollars and a very precarious mailing of the thing doesn't seem worth it.
