Although I would not recommend it, you can probably walk up to the conference and buy a day or weekend pass.
Here is how the conference works:
Thursday is the opening of the conference
attendees, instructors and volunteers all meet up in the afternoon
food and beverages will be available
A couple of opening speeches and then the private gallery opening
This will be open to all weekend pass holders
Friday is the first full day
Events will be available to one day or weekend pass' holders only
Photo outings
Gallery Tour
Work shops
a select group of vendors will have goods for sale to attendees only
Round table discussion (the future of the Medium)
Evening Lecture (Les McLean)
food and beverages will be available
There will be a Public Opening to the Gallery Show (Meaning anyone can come to the opening)
Saturday
There will be more lectures, outings, tours and workshops (about the same as Friday) that will require a oneday or weekend pass.
On Saturday there will also be a one day trade show that will be accessible to the general public for an entry fee (probably around $5.00) and free to conference attendees. This will include the weekend vendors and will be kept separate form the other events.
Sunday
There will be more workshops, photo outings and our select group of vendors. This will be available to attendees holding a weekend pass or day pass. It will also be the last day for the silent auction and we were hoping to have the blind print exchange as well as a photo swap.
Here is the bottom line. For 75.00 you can go to the conference for 2-4 days for 50.00 you can go for one day. It is inexpensive anyway you slice it.
You only pay for the pass and any workshops you attend. Tours, photo outings, lectures discussion groups, gallery opening, access to vendors are all included.
