Hello friends,

I finally decided to clean the shutter on my Vito CLR - well, I need your help! Maybe someone knows the order of its lens disassembly? To get to the shutter, do I need to peel off the leatherettes, removing the lens board as a whole? Or maybe it's built in another way? I can try and figure it all out by myself, of course, but your help can save time and camera itself  Vito CLR apparently shares the lens unit with some other cameras like Vitomatic - the repair routine should look about the same.

Regards from Moscow,
Zhenya

I can't find a detailed picture of the front of a C but it seems close enough to a B. There are 3 radial screws that hold a trim ring around the lens - back them out and the ring falls away. Inside are 3 cross-slot screws that need to be only loosened to free the steel stop ring (scribe everything before this if you need) and allow the lens to unscrew.

The rest is ordinary, and somewhat hazy. The nameplate comes off the lens with a rubber only - no locking screws but a dented ring will raise hell.

Like I said, a hazy memory and a different camera, but there aren't any unmanageable surprises.

Zhenya,

do a search for medform-norm and you will find what I told you about this topic at the beginning of the year. Remember, when you were ill in bed and wanted to do the cleaning without peeling the leatherette? I'm glad you have abandoned that idea and have come round to doing it the way Voigtlander wanted you to do it ;-)
