Hi Folks,
I am interested in unmasking skin damage caused by too much sun light or unmasking old wounds (up to 8 months old) using UV Photography. I have purchased the required *expensive* filter. There are two ways I would like to approach this:
1. Digital using a Nikon D1X
2. Using conventional camera and B+W film.

The information I seek involves reflective UV rather than florescent UV.

Years ago, Kodak published a Tech Manual on Medical UV photography and a separate manual on Medical IR photography. I can't find these publication any longer.
Would any one reading this have extensive experience on the subject of Medical or Forensic UV Photography. Most specifically I am interested in recording tissue changes
during the healing process and unmasking old wounds.

There is also an 8 page medical journal article published by the chap who did the Kodak book (in references below article) which should be available from any good medical university library.

Harold,

I have a copy of both the Kodak publications should you need some bedtime reading. I can put my hands on the 85mm Pentax Ultra Takumar (quartz and fluorite elements) for IR and UV imaging... but it does need bellows or tubes for closer than (about) 18 inches.

Don't give up on me!!!

Hey Guys,
Don't give up on me. We are having a bad snow storm (I live in Alaska) and has been hitting us hard for the last several days. Prior, we have had rain and high winds so everything has been knocked out off and on.

Have received your messages. Have attempted to XMIT but am often knocked out. I send and receive by Sat/Com.

Phil have received your info. Thanks. Will attempt commo when weather breaks.

Ken, have receive PM and will attempt to respond. Hang with me . . . it won't snow and blow forever.

End XMIT/// Harold/////
