Hi everyone! I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has tried using Kodak Ektacolor Prime SP developer and bleachfix with an open tray process or drum? I have read that these particular chemicals have been designed for the minilab so I was wondering if one can even use them at the manual home lab?!
I am experimenting with RA-4 open tray process for couple of months now. Previously I have used Adox Ra-4 kit but now I have a chance to get the Ektacolor SP and so I an thinking if I should. The paper I use is a roll of Kodak Endura.

I use Fuji Hunt EnviroPrint MP60 which it is also a monocomponent concentrate for minilabs. It works beatifuly on my Jobo.

I have concerns about a monocomponent Blix, mentioned to be an unstable solution. PE was not convinced at all about the shelf life of this kind of products, I use two components Blix.

I don't see why not.
Like @halfaman I use Fuji MP chemistry aimed at mini labs and RT processors, but I exclusively develop in trays. No problems. I'd be surprised if it is much different for Kodak chemistry.

I use a monocomponent blix (Fuji Hunt). It's quite stable IF it's stored in full bottles without any oxygen. In half full bottles it only lasts about a year max.

I use it in drums. I dilute 1 + 1 and develop for 50s@35ºC. I also dilute blix for better economy.

edit: Sorry, I missed that you were talking about SP. I use Kodak Ektacolor Prime dev. replenisher RT/LU and Ektacolor Prime Blix RT/LU.

Hi, I see that you use Fuji MP60. I just bought it with a starter but I can't find anywhere how I should use/mix it. there is no instruction included with the package/bottle. Could you tell me how you do it? Thanks!
