...and I use analogue film. Even worse, I openly engage in pinhole and paper negative-making and polaroid transfers and various other decadent practices. I got a tip that this is a support group for persons with these issues.

Look, Keith, sorry to disappoint but if you are looking for a cure from your afflictions this just isn't the right place.

If however there's the need to mix with pushers, users, manufacturers, just-observers, wannabees, really-are's, going-to-be-one-day'ers, talkers, just-thinkers of anything analogue in photography then let me be the first to welcome you.

Given the list above, you're in trouble . You'll fit right in.

Best, John.

Hi Keith! Always glad to meet a fellow-sufferer. I've been meaning to try paper negatives myself. Before I get some silver nitrate and the rest of it, I thought I might even try just regular single weight enlarging paper.

If you think your condition's bad wait till you see some of our regular substance abusers. There's a full range here. Rodinal, pyro etc users. Even alcohol when things are really bad.

Welcome. I am sure you'll enjoy the company.

Thanks for taking the time to welcome me! I look forward to being part of the freak show

WELCOME to APUG!!! I am relatively new here myself and reveling in the freakiness.

If you are like me, you might just find yourself shooting a LOT more film than pre-APUG! A bit shocking as my fridge "vegetable crisper" is now a "film crisper." :D :D :D Apparenlty this affliction is common and is nothing to worry about (the man in the white coat says).

Welcome from the UK Midlands. I joined 12 months ago, at the time I was using a nice old EOS. I now have 2 MF cameras (one a Lubitel !), a fridge in what I used to call my study - now darkroom/study, I am trying different developers for film and paper, my negatives need to be more CONTRASTY and I have had to put e-bay on my restricted sites list to avoid marital strife.

I'm not going to get a 5x4 though, well not yet

Cheers CJB

Okay, let me be frank, some of you need help!

But my therapist says that I need help too, so I expect to form some good relationships here.

The trajectory of my photo hobby so far:

P&S digital -> 35mm film -> APS digital -> sold digital -> 645 -> 6x6cm -> 6x7 -> 6x8 -> 6x9 -> 4x5" -> 5x7" -> 8x10" -> thinking about painting one of my walls with liquid emulsion, exposing it and hosing it down with developer....

Ah yes, not that size matters  but this seems like a common progression. Except for the last proposal.

That's one way, or if there were any concerns about the practical considerations it might be worth trying Abelardo Morell style ->
